Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a high-level meeting on Sunday to review the state’s law and order situation and discuss preparations for upcoming festivals. He emphasized ensuring peaceful celebrations while maintaining traditions.

During the meeting, CM Yogi directed officials to organize a three-day ‘Janpadiya Vikas Utsav’ across all districts to mark the completion of eight years of the UP government. He also stressed the need for increased vigilance on social media and active communication regarding festival arrangements.

“All upcoming festivals must be celebrated peacefully, and no activity should go against tradition. On the completion of eight years of governance, a three-day ‘Janpadiya Vikas Utsav’ should be held in every district. Authorities should remain alert about social media and establish communication regarding festivals,” he stated.

The Chief Minister also instructed officials to conduct thorough verification of tempo, e-rickshaw drivers, and tenants, adding that overloading of vehicles should be curbed at zero points. He called for the inclusion of Transport Department officials in district task forces and emphasized the need for increased police foot patrolling and active PRV 112 response units.

Additionally, he directed authorities to ensure proper facilities for devotees during the upcoming Chaitra Navratri festival, particularly in light of the hot weather. Arrangements such as drinking water, canopies, mats, and cleanliness should be made at religious sites. He also called for the deployment of women police personnel at these locations and a strict vigil on border areas to maintain security.

“Revenue disputes should be resolved on a merit basis in mission mode,” he added, underlining the government’s focus on maintaining law and order across the state.
